CHRISTMAS STOCKING I adore Christmas and ever since I was a little girl loved the theater of Christmas Eve, hanging the stockings and preparing for Rudolph, and the unbearable excitement of waking Christmas Day in the hope of lots of presents. To this day, we still gather excitedly as a family, adults and children alike, to rummage through our stockings early on Christmas morning!
Two of the stockings you see in this pattern were created for my boys many years ago. They have lasted many frenetic Christmas mornings and I love the fact that they were created especially for them and that they are still enjoyed as much now as when they were tiny.
So now you can create personalised Christmas Stockings with my lovely pattern. I’ve included three designs, an angel, snowman and reindeer, with a full alphabet and stars and hearts templates.
All templates are full size and printed in reverse, which means marking out your applique designs and stocking is fast and simple. Detailed instructions and lots of photographs guide you through the construction of stocking and lining and the creation of the layered applique designs making the pattern suitable for all abilities.
Using quick machine piecing and my favorite fusible applique techniques you will have stockings ready for the whole family in time for Christmas!
